 Installation Error - No program installed


This may be caused by the Windows Installer with an error code of 1359

Error 1359. An internal error occurred. while installing  the software


Windows update KB2918614 Security update for Windows Installer Service is causing the error


  • Uninstall KB2918614 from Windows
  • Open your Start Menu > Control Panel > Programs and Features
  • Click View Installed Updates and locate KB2918614
  • Right-click on the update and Uninstall
  • Reboot when completed

Reinstall the BankTree software on completion.

If after following the above, does not resolve the installation problem, try running the Windows Installer directly. After running InstallManager.exe Run the Windows installation from:

C:\Program Files\BankTree 3.0\Install.msi

Or on a 64bit Windows computer

C:\Program Files (x86)\BankTree 3.0\Install.msi

Please report any error codes / messages if you have a problems with the Windows Installer Service.
